Cumberland Advisors and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee were proud host Financial Literacy Day on March 30, 2017. This event featured panel discussions by experts on:

The keynote remarks were given by William C. Dudley, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The day also featured the dedication of the new David Kotok/Cumberland Advisors Financial Information Laboratory equipped with Bloomberg Professional Services.

Dr. James Curran of USF Sarasota-Manatee watches along with William C. Dudley, CEO Federal Reserve Bank of New York and other as David Kotok of Cumberland Advisors performs the ribbon cutting during the dedication of Bloomberg Terminals. The gift from Cumberland Advisors enables USF students and professionals in the financial service sector to monitor and analyze real-time financial market data along with news, price quotes, and messaging capability.

This new Lab  provides access to the same data and analysis used by financial experts and managers around the world to students across the Sarasota-Manatee region. David Kotok and Cumberland Advisors were featured in the October 2016 edition of SCENE Magazine (pg. 50 – 51), explaining the importance of having these services accessible to financial professionals and students in the Sarasota-Manatee area.
