Sarasota-based financial firm Cumberland Advisors and Cumberland’s founder and Chief Investment Officer David Kotok recently donated 12 Bloomberg terminals, the bread and butter to Wall Street traders and portfolio investors worldwide, to the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. The gift equals about $60,000 and pays for a one-year subscription to the Bloomberg system.
“These terminals will expose our students to one of the best information systems in the world,” Dr. James Curran, USFSM’s dean of the college of business, said. “The Bloomberg network provides data and analysis in real time and is used by financial analysts and business decision makers around the globe.”
