Arin Stancil, CFA, CIPM

Arin Stancil, CFA, CIPM serves as a Performance Consultant for Cumberland Advisors and as a Principal at Guardian Performance Solutions LLC (GPS). In his role, he works as a direct extension of advisers’ in-house teams to oversee the composite reporting and GIPS compliance process. With over 25 years of experience, Arin has applied and interpreted the GIPS standards across a wide range of situations, advising firms of all sizes on compliance and best practices.

Prior to serving in these roles, Arin served as the GIPS compliance manager for a global investment adviser, where he was responsible for maintaining the firm’s ongoing claim of compliance with the GIPS standards. Arin is currently a member of the GIPS Standards Technical Committee (TC), the body responsible for the technical oversight of the GIPS standards. The purpose of the TC includes providing technical oversight of the GIPS standards and guiding the development and adoption of the GIPS standards. He is also a past member of the GIPS Standards Executive Committee and the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC). He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as well as the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM).
