SARASOTA, FL (October 25, 2023) – Cumberland Advisors named Benjamin Pease as Managing Director of Fixed Income and Chief Innovation Officer effective immediately. Ben joins the firm with more than 20 years of investment management experience including the last nine years at Breckinridge Capital Advisors in Boston as Head of Trading. Ben served during periods of market volatility, significant growth in assets under management, and technology innovation. Ben was also a member of both the Investment Committee and Risk Committee.
Ben will report directly to John R. Mousseau, CEO and Director of Fixed Income at Cumberland. He will have overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the Fixed Income department as well as firmwide technology initiatives. Ben has extensive experience with trading and investment management efficiencies, systems, and scalability of customized separately managed accounts (SMA).
Prior to his time at Breckinridge Capital Advisors, Pease served as Vice President and Head Fixed Income Trader at TD Asset Management USA. Ben holds a BS in Economics and Finance, and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, as well as continuing professional education in the areas of change management and leadership from Cornell University.
